Author Elif Shafaq (Credit: Rachel Adams) Japanese horror writer Koji Suzuki, whose novel Ring helped redefine horror fiction and launched the global wave of “J-Horror,” has died at 68 in Tokyo. Beyond Ring, Suzuki built a career blending psychological dread with speculative fiction, beginning with his award-winning debut Paradise in 1990 and continuing with Spiral, which earned the Eiji Yoshikawa Literary Newcomer Award.
Author Koji Suzki Florence Pugh will star in the movie adaptation of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. The novel was published in 2020 and sold over 15 million copies.
